Bio

Ollie Bream McIntosh is a researcher and designer specialising in cross-sector, participatory, and digital approaches to urban and regional sustainability transitions. He holds a MSc in Sustainable Territorial Development and a M2 in Applied Economics, and is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Brussels School of Governance, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, as part of the MSCA doctoral network investigating ‘Co-Design for Transitions’ (CoD4T). Ollie is especially interested in how ethical and political technologies can augment the ways in which organisations, communities, and governments collaborate to address systemic challenges like climate change.

His previous research has focused on the role of networks and platforms in the governance of urban sustainability transitions, as well as on the impact of public sector innovations in regional transition programmes. Ollie has consulted for a range of NGOs, start-ups, and research institutes across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, and currently sits as a non-executive director on the boards of two UK charities focused on local development. Outside of work, Ollie loves jazz, hiking, and cooking for friends.
